Farm Fair Coordinator Intern
The Farm is seeking two multi-skilled, enthusiastic and experiences people to coordinate our Summer Fair 2014. As a relatively small organisation with great aspirations for future growth, this will be an excellent opportunity for someone to benefit from personal and professional development and gain firsthand experience of working for a dynamic charity within Bristol’s third sector. It will also provide you with a unique opportunity to showcase your event management and fundraising skills at a high profile event. For the right candidate/s, there is potential for this post to become an annual role.
Due to funding, the positions are only applicable to current and recent graduates of the University of Bristol.
Hours of work: From 1st April to 15th June 2014 @ £6.31 per hour. Approx 10 to 20 hrs a week (up to a total of 160 hours), depending on priorities. 40 hours to be allocated to the week on which the Farm Fair falls (7th June).
Role Description: The post holder/s will be responsible for coordinating a safe and successful Summer Fair on Saturday 7th June 2014, generating a sizable income while bringing the community together to celebrate local music, art, sustainability and food. Key responsibilities include: developing an event management and safety plan, liaising with staff, volunteers and stakeholders; undertaking community consultations; PRS compliance; booking infrastructure; booking musicians and workshop artists; coordinating stall holders; volunteer recruitment; coordinating on the day; fundraising, promotion and marketing; administration etc.
