Our Youth Club meets every week at the Boiling Wells Conservation Site and the Farm's Small-holding.
A group of around a dozen tweens and teenagers engage in a wide range of activities based on their interests such as bushcraft, cooking with fire, woodwork, gardening, painting and more.
Each week the "youth crew" feed the animals, put them to bed and then choose what they want to do amongst themeselves, from cooking, firelighting, arts and crafts and much more.
Some young people use this experience towards the volunteer section of Duke of Edinburgh awards.
Besides being exposed to healthy role models and connecting with nature, the aim is to boost teens' confidence and provide the opportunity to do something really fun and have a great time in a social setting.
Schedule: Tuesday from 4PM - 6PM.
Age: 11 - 16 years old.
Eligibility: placements are arranged via referrals from schools, care workers, social workers, medical services, local youth organisations or pupil referral units.
