We care for four outdoor sites offering an open access farm and gardens all year round. During winter Covid-19 restrictions, we will continue to work with our young people and targeted service users following the latest government guidance. As a small site with narrow paths, we cannot also be open to the public while our sites are in use.

Visit our city farm

Our farm is a small holding open to visitors which enables people growing up in the city to learn about farm animals and why we keep them. Just over the road is the adventure play space and award winning City Farm cafe which serves local organic food within a hobbitesque space.

Enjoy our community gardens

An open-access, one acre garden, which offers a beautiful, quiet spot accessed by local nursery and kindergarten groups, school groups, local families, people walking their dogs and of course, the local wildlife. It is cared for by our Supported Training team so please respect the site.

See what's growing at Ashley Hill Allotments

Surrounding the Farm site are 13 acres (214 plots) of community allotments which we manage on behalf of Bristol City Council with support from the AVAA committee. Working in collaboration with AVAA, the Farm is developing a community growing facility including Propagation Place - a propagation polytunnel and growing project.

Learn or celebrate at Boiling Wells

Boiling Wells is a beautiful 2.5 acre site nestled in a tranquil woodland valley just 3 minutes walk from the Farm site. With wild green spaces, a terraced orchard interspersed with rambling soft fruit, native trees and a nearby stream, it is a unique oasis in the heart of the city. From here, we run a range of outdoor activities that are not easily accessed elsewhere within the city. When the site's not in use for learning and training activities, it can be hired for weddings and group events.
