Supporters of organic, fair-trade and wild food systems, all dietary requirements are catered for.
When it comes to ingredients, the City Farm Café can think almost entirely in food yards. The cafe's situated in the centre of the City Farm who provide meat, vegetables, salad and wild ingredients for the Café's menu.
The local allotment holders are also encouraged to trade surplus in return for something to eat or drink.
The Café's well supported event 'Tasty Tales' is always worth saving the date for.
The hobbit-esque building, home to this Café for over ten years, warmed by a central log burner is made from organically shaped, gnarled wood with bright inlaid windows. The Café decking overlooks our adventure playground, with views across the road to our small holding.
The City Farm Café was also responsible for creating a new category in The Observer Food awards when it won the Best Ethical Contribution, an inspiration for many subsequent Bristol winners who hold this highly coveted award.
The Café is currently open for takeaway drinks, cakes and snacks on Saturdays and Sundays (updated May 2021).
For any enquiries, please call the Café team directly on 0117 9080798.
Occasionally the café is closed for holidays or maintenance, so please check with the café's own social media if you are coming from a distance.
We have a great little adventure playground, built by the Green Play Project that incorporates cargo netting, a secret tunnel, climbing frames and hide out shelters. The adventure playground is right next to the Farm Café.
