Forest School sessions at St Werburghs City Farm take place on the whole at our magical Boiling Wells site. They offer the opportunity for children to play and learn through hands on experiences in this beautiful, wildlife rich environment right in the heart of the city. A small group of up to 15 children will join a level 3 trained member of staff in exploring, working together and learning new skills over the 6 week block.

Our Sessions
For 2 hours a week over a 6 week period, participants will develop relationships with themselves, with each other and with nature.
Through various bushcraft and earth education activities, we aim for each child to better their self-awareness, self-regulation, intrinsic motivation, empathy, social communication skills, independence, positive mental attitude, self esteem and confidence.
These run for at least 2 hours a week over a 6 week period, participants will develop relationships with themselves, with each other and with nature. Longer sessions, with shared food or packed lunches, can also be arranged and are very much encouraged as children and young people tend to really benefit from the extended period with time to nourish themselves together at the site.

Our unique natural spaces will provide a place for self-lead free playing and learning. Children and young people will learn to handle risks, use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others.
Prices
Up to 15 children/young people per session. Typically we run two hour sessions once a week for six weeks but please get in touch with your requirements, or if you have specific funding for this we are happy to discuss pricing.
