Woodland Wellness Officer
6.5hrs per week including every Tuesday from 11.30-4pm, fixed term to 31st March 2020. £19,554 per annum, pro rata (£10.02 per hour)
The Woodland Wellness Volunteer Officer will work with the 18-25 & Wellbeing Project Manager to manage, develop and deliver a range of activities in particular cooking in an outdoor setting within the Farm’s Volunteering and Wellbeing Programme. Engagement opportunities seek to target disadvantaged people (18 yrs +), including those experiencing poor mental health such as anxiety, OCD, depression; those socially isolated or identify as lonely; people suffering from a debilitating lack of confidence; those recovering from alcohol and drug misuse; and those from BME communities including asylum seekers / refugees.
We are looking for someone with a passion for connecting people to food and nature to lead the Woodland Wellness sessions. Each 12 week course will engage adults with poor mental health in growing fruit and veg, cooking with fresh produce and other nature based activities at our 2.5 acre Boiling Wells woodland.
